If you are searching for the right lender Paso Robles, one of the first things to take into consideration when buying a house—besides what you want in a house—is how much your monthly mortgage will be.  There are four different things that go into your monthly mortgage payment. Click here to use our loan payment calculator.

Four things to consider in a home loan

  • Principal amount
  • Interest rate
  • Property Taxes
  • Homeowners Insurance

The total of these four items in Paso Robles home loans is known as the PITI.  How much you pay each month in interest depends on if you get a fixed or adjustable mortgage for your new Paso Robles home.  The fixed home mortgage has one interest rate for a certain length of time, so each monthly payment is the same amount.  The adjustable home mortgage is adjusted as interest rates go up or down, so payment amounts may vary.

Beautiful downtown Paso Robles.

Paso Robles, CA 93446 is located in Northern San Luis Obispo County and is the center of Paso Robles Wine Country. The city’s full name is El Paso de Robles, which means The Pass of the Oaks.

Paso Robles has a population of 29,793 and is the second most populous city in San Luis Obispo County. The median price of a home in the city is $345,600.

The Paso Robles Ranch was originally granted to Pedro Narvaez who gave the rancho over to Petronilo Rios, who then sold it to James H. Blackburn, Daniel Drew Blackburn and Lazarus Godehaux for $8,000 in 1857.

At that time there was little to Paso Robles; there was only what was left of a log cabin build by Father Juan Cabot from the San Miguel mission on the corner of what is now 10th and Spring streets. That site—where Paso Robles Inn is today—was the home of the first hot springs bath house in 1864.

Those hot spring bubbling up under the site of Paso Robles is what first drew people—including the famous Polish pianist Ignacy Jan Paderewski, who came to Paso Robles in the early 1900s.

Today, Paso Robles is the home of hundreds of vineyards and wineries and is a thriving community a short drive from the coast and San Luis Obispo.
